Leader, Manager, Engineer, Coach, Problem Solver.I started my professional career on active duty as a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lieutenant. Having graduated from West Point, I put to use my leadership and engineering skills while deployed overseas in Germany in the late 1980's. I was able to see the Berlin wall come down with pride that democracy won out. My education and early career taught me valuable lessons about leadership, working with teams, the importance of communication and the value of my integrity. Fast forward nearly 40 years and I've developed a reputation and career where I am known for being honest, straight forward, and a true team player. As Director with both Posillico Civil (parent company) and UHPC Solutions (a Posillico-Walo Joint Venture), I bring my varied background and experience to deliver successful projects. My recent work has been as the Deputy Program Manager for two US Army Corps of Engineers civil infrastructure projects for Posillico and as the Managing Director of the UHPC Solutions entity. My current responsibilities include support Federal market pursuits, handling close out of our Federal projects and helping Posillico expand it's footprint from regional to national general contractor. As Director at UHPC Solutions, I lead a great team that has introduced Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) to the U.S. infrastructure rehabilitation market. I've been fortunate to accomplish many firsts in the world of UHPC - first UHPC project in New Jersey, Alabama and Texas; first UHPC overlay in Delaware and New Jersey; largest UHPC project in the U.S. to date (2024) and first suspension bridge to be rehabilitated with UHPC (Delaware Memorial Bridge). I'm very passionate about this new 35,000 psi high strength material that has a life-cycle of 75 years.I've had the pleasure of working on all sides of the construction business from agency construction management/inspection to consulting engineering to general contracting. This has given me a unique perspective to be able to see issues from many different sides and look for compromise to resolve issues.I consider myself a life-long student, as there is still much for me to learn from others, regardless of where they are in their career and what their perspective is. Each and every person I interact with has the potential to teach me valuable lessons that better me as a professional and in life overall. I am also passionate about giving back and investing in others careers as a coach, mentor and friend.
