Lead employee benefits - strategy and administration for the Americas (US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil).

Develop strategy, implementation and administration of Compensation, Benefits, Executive Compensation and Payroll Services. Lead the Human Resources function on mergers and acquisitions.

Responsible for Global Benefits, Executive Compensation (for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors), Global Compensation, Mergers and Acquisitions, International HR/Mobility and SAP HRIS. Served as key member of the HR Leadership Team developing strategy that aligned with business objectives. A trusted advisor on all aspects of complex Human Resources programs, practices and strategies that improved benefits, compensation, employee engagement, performance and retention. Role included continuous involvement and development in all areas of executive compensation, HR operations and administration. Led a team of 46 domestic and international professionals.* Served as lead for Halliburton and Baker Hughes Integration Planning team for Total Compensation, International HR/Mobility and HRIS. Project was 14 months and scope was global involving cross-functional teams from both organizations to develop and prepare integration plans. Developed overall implementation framework including country by country plans. The deal was not approved by regulatory agencies and the acquisition was terminated. * Managed and Administered Executive Compensation Agreements with regard to a merger reflecting severance, IRS Excise Tax Provisions on golden parachute payments, enhanced SERP provisions, special requirements on incentive and stock option plans, split-dollar executive life insurance, and assorted perquisites. * Led the review and analysis of the US Affordable Care Act to develop a strategy based on projected impact - resulting in support by Senior Management for the implementation of a Wellness Committee to oversee programs to develop and foster a culture of Wellness.* Advanced the initial review of Global HR Operations and processes resulting in the transformation of HR Operations to a best in class model - regional HR Operations Centers that support the business with a flexible and scalable HR Operations Center resulting in a streamlined delivery model.

Responsible for all aspects of employee benefit plan design, funding, administration, and compliance with applicable local regulations to develop and maintain a competitive and best in class total compensation package. * Led the complex transition of an acquired company to the outsourced benefits administration platform under the merged company..* Implemented progressive plan design changes for various countries to align with market practice and deliver efficient cost effective programs. * Served as Chairperson, Global Benefits Committee - Developed a streamlined process of consensus building that improved the ability to obtain approval on major decision from internal organization stakeholders and the committee.

Responsible for the purview of retirement programs for 110,000 employees with over $5.5B in plan assets in 40 key countries. Collaborative efforts with local countries resulted in the alignment of corporate philosophy on defined contribution structure for retirement plans. Implemented defined contribution retirement platforms for Canada, Mexico, Netherlands, Japan, and Brazil resulting in the potential to reduce cost in future years by changing to a “pay as you go” basis.
