BRIGHTER FUTURES DELIVER STUDY PROGRAMMES AND SUPPORT 16-18 YR OLDS INTO EMPLOYMENT , TRAINEESHIPS & EMPLOYMENT, Delivering Functional Skills Qualifictions, Customer Service & Business Admin Technical Certificates, Employability Skills and Work Placements.MY ROLE within Brighter Futures:*Networking with a variety of agencies and organisations who engage with 16-18 year olds to generate awareness and knowledge surrounding Study Programmes and Apprenticeships.*Promoting training programmes and support on offer with Brighter Futures to progress young people into apprenticeships and employment.*Attending neighbourhood events, networking events and any other opportunities to engage with communities to generate interest and promote training opportunities for young people*Links with Schools in Merseyside delivering assemblies* Hosting and attending careers events in schools and communites

• Marketing NVQs to existing and new Employers in various business sectors via telesales/foot marketing• Networking with Employers and other Training Providers• Conducting Health and Safety audits at Placements• Supporting learners through initial assessment tests• Explaining the NVQ process to both learner and Employer

• Interviewing clients referred from Job Centre and identifying their eligibility to be accepted onto the TNG programme• Managing a caseload of over 50 New Deal clients.• Providing pastoral support for clients.• Matching clients to suitable placements/vacancies, identifying and providing relevant training needs.• Identifying and breaking down barriers to work such as homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence.• Monitoring clients’ attendance and progression.• Visiting clients at placements and carrying out monthly reviews and updating learning plans for each client.• Liaising with New Deal Advisors, placement hosts and specialist agencies regarding client progression.• Supporting clients returning to work and to achieve their potential.• Approaching employers for work experience placements and work trials/vacancies for clients.

Birkenhead

• Selling cars and commercial vehicles to national fleet customers and small local businesses.• Advising customers of vehicle specifications and matching with their needs.• Liaising with various departments regarding parts, servicing and bodywork.• Responsible for coordinating subcontractors to carry out work on vehicles prior to delivery.• Liaising with the Ford factory on progress and vehicle misbuilds.• Responsible for arranging finance and calculating repayments.• Calculating contract hire quotes.• Responsible for marketing new vehicles and special offers via mailshot, telephone calls and canvassing.

Chester

• Working with 16-18 year olds.• Managing a caseload of clients.• Holding recruitment sessions at Connexions and Careers Wales.• Delivering presentations to both clients and employers to create awareness of Modern Apprenticeships.• Supporting clients through Initial Assessment tests.• Assisting clients with CVs and interview techniques.• Providing pastoral support for clients including mentoring and signposting to relevant agencies.• Involvement in Year 10 recruitment open days at schools• Attending Careers fairs • Conducting Health and Safety reviews on placements.• Motivation and confidence building for clients.• Visiting clients at placement and carrying out monthly reviews and updating learning plans for each client.• Approaching employers for potential work experience placements and work trials
