As the General Counsel and Executive Vice-President of Human Resources at the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), I provide executive leadership, legal counseling, and strategic guidance to the premier global organization for supply chain professionals. With over 20 years of experience in the legal and HR fields, I have a proven track record of streamlining processes, reducing costs and risks, and enhancing compliance and best practices across all levels of state government and the nonprofit sector.In my current role, I oversee the legal function of ASCM, including contract creation and review, IP management, governance, ethics, and employment law matters. I also manage all aspects of the HR department, including hiring, firing, training, benefits, grievances, and negotiations. I have successfully implemented an automated contract lifecycle management system (CLM), giving ASCM for the first time ever the ability to proactively manage our contract renewals and execution, and a GDPR compliance program. I redesigned the contract review and IP management processes, and I led cross-divisional projects, including ASCM’s newest AI Governance initiative. In my previous positions, I also partnered with state legislators, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and legislation. Additionally, I supervised high volume and high value litigation in federal and state courts and agencies. I have deep experience andvising on employment-related statutes and regulations, such as FMLA, ADA, and OSHA.I am passionate about working in associations and serving the needs and interests of ASCM’s members and partners.
