I am always looking to expand my knowledge in order to make my programs more successful no matter where my work takes me. I am big on educating myself so I may educate others about many topics including the Human-Animal bond and how it can help people of all ages in our community. Any task that I am given--I take seriously and give it my all. I have many goals in mind. My end goal would be to work in a social service type agency where I can work with humans and animals together, or create a program, whether through HSSA or on my own, that offers animal-assisted and horticultural therapy type activities. This program will provide the resources for children, adults, animals and plants to bond and learn and heal with one another. I want to work with at-risk-youth to teach them empathy, kindness, and creativity through experiential learning to increase their life-skills. I could go on and on.....but then it wouldn't be a summary right?
