ERG is an 8(a,) service-disabled veteran-owned, economically-disadvantaged woman-owned small business founded in 2000. ERG specializes in environmental consulting services for federal and state government customers and partner firms. An erg is the unit of energy in the centimetre-gram-second (CGS) system of units, symbol "erg". Derived from the Greek word ergon, meaning "work". We direct our energy towards our customers' missions through on-site staff support or more traditional project support, whatever it takes to achieve the mission.

Served as Group Manager for the Professional Services Group which provides on-site environmental services to the Department of Defense, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration and other federal agencies. I directed and mentored employee supervision using remote management practices with environmental professionals. I managed and analyzed financial information to determine variances and corrective action plans always seeking to balance the needs of our employees, customers and shareholders. I facilitated customer visits to proactively ensure satisfaction in terms of caliber of environmental work and related budget.I ran the work with strong profitability and growth in balance with customer satisfaction. I wrote and directed action planning using the Simplified Strategic Planning method. I served as the Contract and Program Manager for the Norfolk District, US Army Corps of Engineers Environmental Services Contract and for the Mobile District, US Army Corps of Engineers Environmental Services Contract. I oversaw contractual decision-making and work execution for all levels for Federal government agencies in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. I organized and managed conferences for the US Army to provide state-of-the-art information and training in various environmental compliance areas. I initiated office operations for Versar, Inc. in both in Norfolk, VA area and Baltimore MD. I constantly sought to improve business activities to better serve Versar customers. When I first started, I provided management consultation to the Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Military Support Program. I provided training, documented standard operating procedures, conducted briefings to provide information regarding the legalities of contracting, and provided solutions to issues as they arose.

Served as on-site contractor support to manage contract actions, customer requests, and contractors in support of the Military Support Program for environmental services. The environmental and planning program supplied on-site staff augmentation through 20 contract companies for approximately 60M dollars per year. Customers included military installations, commands and regional offices as well as other federal agencies.I served inside the Norfolk District as a contractor among government employees. I learned the nuances of government-contractor relationships and authorities.

Served our nation as a Transportation Officer. I ran over a command-detonated land mine in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993, peripheral to the events noted in Blackhawk Down.As a Brigade Staff Officer, I developed and administered command policies for a 3,600 person organization. I developed training and served as adjunct instructor for the U.S. Army Transportation Office Basic Course, specializing in Operations Other Than War. I studied and analyzed organizational needs for environmental programs; initiated and reviewed environmental programs accordingly.As Executive Officer, 567th Transportation Company at Mogadishu, Somalia, I led multi-national representatives in development of a cohesive team to accomplish international goals in equipment mobility, seaport operations, and seaport defense. I coordinated and implemented plans for food, lodging and welfare facilities for 120 U.S. soldiers and 300 United Nations employees. I led the movement and accurate documentation of over 9,000 pieces of equipment from the Seaport of Mogadishu throughout Somalia to support United Nations operations. I created and managed the security and defense plan for the United Nations Seaport Compound for six different nationalities, according to enemy threat analysis. I directed seaport access program to manage Somali workers entering and exiting the port facility. I initiated and conducted stress management program of chaplain visits, psychological seminars and counseling for soldiers.As Truck Platoon Leader, 100th Transportation Company and as Stevedore Platoon Leader, 567th Transportation Company, I provided technical expertise for convoy operations, vessel operations, and various related military transportation requirements. I managed personnel actions for over 30 employees. Coordinated and managed national and international trips for 125 employees.
