Senior Engineer with strong integration of Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Microbiology/ Biochemical Engineering. Over 30 years specializing in project management, process and environmental engineering in alternative energy and environmental engineering. My favorite projects allow me to combine my technical expertise with project management expertise and strong interpersonal skills. My interdisciplinary education and broad experience across multiple industries makes me a valuable partner in industrial facilities and customer relations. I have conducted research and development, managed and optimized various industrial processes, supervised complex projects, directed wastestream characterization, identified and implemented source reduction strategies and managed various waste treatment facilities. I performed technical transfer in alternative energy and energy conservation, performed research for production of biodiesel from microalgae, served as process and project engineer for production of synfuels from coal and biodiesel from seed oils. I also served as senior engineer and manager for water treatment in the semiconductor and other industries and project engineer for various projects, including water treatment at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. I am experienced with chemical, physical and biological processes. I am a hands-on engineer and comfortable with process instrumentation, controls, mechanical systems, fluid transport, heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibrium, filtration and many other unit operations. I also have extensive experience in environmental project management including developing workplans, leading remedial investigations, performing feasibility studies, cost estimates, project budgeting, specifying equipment, contractor management, environmental sampling and reporting.I am energetic and technically skilled at project engineering, field engineering, research and development and outreach to potential and existing clients to expand and generate business.
