Managed daily operations and maintenance of three large EPA CERCLA-regulated groundwater pump and treatment systems and other state-regulated remediation. Systems include over 35 pumps ranging from 3 to 40 HP, multiple blowers, a variety of instrumentation, including programmable logic controllers. Led troubleshooting, identification and management of system improvements. Trained new operators and environmental scientists. Coordinated directly with Program Management and Regulatory Agencies. Authored reports, O&M Manuals, conducted remedial investigations, feasibility studies, prepared work plans, selected and managed contractors, operation, maintainance, optimization and upgrade of remediation systems. Achieved over 90% reduction in system downtime through implementation of upgrades and optimization.

Versar, Inc. held the JBLM Environmental Restoration Program contract prior to Sealaska Environmental Services. Managed daily operations and maintenance of three large EPA CERCLA-regulated groundwater pump and treatment systems and other state-regulated remediation. Designed air sparge-soil vapor extraction system for remediation of gasoline-contaminated groundwater. System includes subslab depressurization to protect occupants of new building constructed over contaminant plume. Coordinated regulatory approval, prepared operations and maintenance manuals, system monitoring, operations and maintenance and reporting. Performed troubleshooting for equipment repair. Identified and managed system improvements. Generated reports, conducted remedial investigations, feasibility studies and prepared work plans for several sites. Selected and managed contractors for system repairs.
