Giovanni manages all aspects of design and construction of various waterfront and maritime assets within the Asset Management portfolio, including the City’s cruise terminals, that NYCEDC maintains and operates, in addition to waterfront projects for other City Agencies. In addition, Giovanni manages inspections for the Waterfront Inspections Program (WIP) for all City-owned maritime and waterfront assets along the City’s waterfront, including inspections on behalf of other City Agencies and NYCEDC.

Waterfront Design & Construction, Asset Management

- Manage multiple high-profile construction projects with budgets over $100m from conceptual design to project close-out- Effectively lead project meetings with consultants and key stake holders to keep projects within time and budgetary constraints, while successfully prioritizing demands- Manage various Waterfront Inspections on behalf of city agencies such as Department of Parks and Recreation and FDNY- Develop excel trackers for the Design and Construction Teams to centralize important project related information- Managed the execution of $60m in new retainer contracts- Build key relationships with consultants, construction managers, and senior leadership by being proactive if project issues arise

Procurement & Project Support, Asset Management

- Managed and monitored both construction and special service contracts including approval letters, invoices, amendments, budgets, and procurement bid openings- Communicated with multiple construction companies to ensure proper guidance on projects as well as (MOCS) passport compliance and insurance requirements- Managed various Excel trackers on multiple projects, keeping them up to date with current information to aid Project Managers- Provided guidance to Project Managers on various matters related to their assigned contracts- Conducted contract reconciliation for assigned service contracts- Worked closely with internal departments i.e., Contracts, Budget & Internal Audit

Fleet Management/Security, Administrative Services

- Managed and monitored over 80 company vehicles- Chauffeured company employees on tours- Effectively created spreadsheets for billing and tracking management- Responsible for tracking payments on multiple leased vehicles- Assisted Security Team with producing and distributing security ID badges for employees
