As a recent graduate of the Financial Mathematics program at the University of Chicago, I have cultivated a deep-seated passion for understanding and navigating the complexities of financial markets. My academic and professional journey has been filled with experiences that solidified my commitment to quantitative trading, and I am becoming increasingly excited as I delve into the intricate game of market behavior and data-driven decision-making. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to expand my knowledge and immerse myself further into this fascinating field.I have co-developed a market-making algorithm using cryptocurrency data, exploring several levels of the order book and formulating a strategy that required me to consider real-world implications like position sizing, queue positioning, and latency. This hands-on project gave me a profound understanding of the practical challenges and nuances of market making, but I believe that one of the true testaments to my passion for trading came during the IMC Prosperity competition. Leading my team to secure 50th place out of nearly 10,000 participants and 15th place nationally was a transformative experience where I gained invaluable insight into communicating with fellow quants and constructing practical strategies from quote and trade data. While I always aim to be at the top, this competition tested my skills and reinforced my extreme desire to excel as a trader in the financial markets.
