Working within the Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning's Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) division I worked across a number of key Priority Development Areas around Queensland including Bowen Hills, Townsville City Waterfront, Maroochydore City Centre and Northshore Hamilton. Some of my responsibilities included:- Calculating infrastructure charges and value uplift, on a range of developments taking into account housing affordability and ecologically sustainable design offsets- Liaising with the Development Assessment team on infrastructure charging- Preparing a cash flow forecast of infrastructure charges for EDQ to determine appropriate timelines for infrastructure delivery- Reviewing development schemes, guidelines, codes, the infrastructure funding framework, and priority infrastructure plans- Preparing a draft Infrastructure Charges Offset Plan.

I consulted with prospective property investors across South-East Queensland to ascertain their investment potential and provide recommendations for future steps to begin or progress their property portfolio. This involved assessing client's financial situation including debt exposure and income streams and referring them appropriately to financial advisors or finance brokers based on my assessment. This role involved meeting on average 15-20 new clients in person per week and as such required high-level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to rapidly adapt to diverse situations.
