This mainly involves understanding of the ISO base file format (ISO/IEC 14496-12) and RTP payload specification for H264 Video. Full RFC 3984 implementation supporting single, fragmentation and aggregation modes.Enhancement to the multimedia library in support of features like random access for seeking and hinting for streaming.I took initiative to learn about the Apple Darwin Streaming Server (DSS) and perform interop tests between DSS and VA3.0/3GP library.I also worked in fixing bugs and issues that came during the development and helped a great deal in the area of QA and ATP testing. I also automated the ATP test cases using expect script.
Ported Audio codecs - ILBC 20, ILBC 30 to TI DSP C54 Series.I was also involved in calculating MIPS count of many audio codecs including EVRC, GSM_FR, AMR to investigate the maximum port count supported by the PCI board and for resource calculation while loading the configuration on to the board.This mainly includes codec profiling which influences data sheets of the DSP intensive PCI boards.
