After a full time career as a mental health treatment provider and program administrator in the 80s & 90s, I retired to attend to assorted important family responsibilities, most recently caring for my elderly mother until she passed away. Now I am returning to the work world full time, preferably in an office environment, where I can effectively apply my transferable skills in program administration, writing and editing reports, reviewing and matching assessments to criteria for decision making, etc. to a new career path. Among my past career achievements:Over eight years successful experience in program administration, including policy making, effective reorganization of procedures, assuring regulatory compliance, writing and editing reports, in-service staff training and team building, and supervision of professional and paraprofessional staff.Over 10 years quality experience in the determination of client eligibility and referral for psychiatric treatment programs.Expertise in the use of personal computers, including MS Office, and informally coaching colleagues in day-to-day computer use and glitch management.Three semesters teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate level.Fluency in both Spanish and English.
