Giullia J. Caldeira is a 22 year old entrepreneur and student born to a low-income family in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her connection with social justice started early in life, as she started working to support her family financially at the age of 14 years old. During her school, Giullia became the main provider for her family, while trying to engage in extracurricular activities, aiming a better future through education. Giullia presented at original project of a Law at the National Congress of Brazil at 16 years old, created an NGO that aims to end menstrual poverty in the penitentiary system ay 17, and was admitted to Babson College on a full-ride scholarship at 18. She is currently a junior in school and has been awarded in the Dean's List and with the Outstanding Philanthropy Award for her work in Brazil. Giullia has worked for Mood Design, an independent and small business; Cumbuca, a Brazilian Y-Combinator backed up FinTech; and Latin American Leadership Academy, an educational NGO. At the moment, she is working as Finances Coordinator at Breaktime, a non-profit organization that fights youth homelessness.
