Researcher on polymeric composite structural materials for aerospace applications.The research is manly focused on the manufacturing processes for fiber- reinforced composites, studying the classic approaches (hand lay-up, liquid, film and solid bulk infusion) and automated approaches both thermoplastic (Fiber placement) and thermosetting (robotic dry and wet winding, Out of Autoclave including) composites.Other Topic is the investigation of thermoplastic and thermoset matrices loaded with different types of nano/micro-particles in order to develop functionalized matrices for specific aeronautical applications.Project Leader of an PON 02 Project “PRADE” focused on Structural Adhesives and repair processes for transportation applications, including aerospace and focal point of several Italian and european Industrial Research projects.Support the monitoring of progress activities, to define the steps and times and to schedule resources in order to ensure the achievement of the objectives on time and within budget.

Researcher on composite structural adhesives for transport applications and thermoplastic/thermosetting fiber- reinforced composites for aerospace application and automatic stratifications (fiber placement and filament wilding)From October 2012: relocated at CIRA (Italian Aerospace Research Center) to carry out several research activities within the framework of a collaboration between IMAST and CIRA. The main topic has been the investigation of thermoplastic and thermoset matrices loaded with different types of nano/micro-particles in order to develop functionalized matrices for specific aeronautical applications.Project Leader of several European and Italian Research Projects; my role has been to monitor and coordinate the progress of the research activities of my company and the involved partners (large companies and public research institutes) in projects that I followed in order to ensure the timely and within-budget achievement of the objectives.
