As a CAE lead, I coordinate the activities of a team of CFD 3D analysts to deliver virtual twin analyses of the Internal Combustion Engine.While collaborating with other CAE analysts, CAD engineers and internal customers, I work on product targets cascade, metrics definition, and I am responsible for planning and performing CFD combustion analyses of the combustion systems and thermo-aerodynamic analyses of the turbines.

Internal Combustion Engine - Fluid Dynamic Design by means of the following CFD simulations. 1) Dynamic in-cylinder simulations to check performances and fuel consumption:- intake and exhaust port optimizations;- VVA systems design and evaluation;- spray design and air-fuel mixture generation optimization;- combustion efficiency and flame development.2) Flow test bench simulations to achieve the engine's targets:- intake and exhaust port design to maximize the air flow rate and to generate structured flow field (tumble, cross-tumble and swirl).3) Engine cooling system simulations to increase efficiency: - CHT simulations with boiling model to evaluate cooling efficiency and engine component temperatures; - water jacket design to minimize pressure drops and to improve cooling.
