Working remotely from line management and remainder of finance across a multi site business covering a range of sectors and services. Working with all levels of management to establish key cost and revenue drivers, highlighting risks and opportunities. Building of strong relationships across Operations and working as a Business Partner to drive a commercial thought process is used when running the business. Providing a full range of financial support across all contracts, either remotely or locally, and ensuring commitments and timelines are met.

Leading building of new tariffs for the SME channel and commercial payment structures for third party agencies, dealers and distributors. Analysis of sales vs. business performance and driving the Pricing for Profit review of price structures. Structure and analysis of commission payments and budgets against sales performance and budgets in order to drive the establishment of pay plans that work for both the business as a whole and the sale teams.

Working both with and as a liaison between the Operations and Finance teams, across all levels of the teams from Warehouse Staff to Traders to Managing Directors. Recognising the needs of both and facilitating a closing working relationship between the two functions. Manage the UK commodities desk and provide global operational support / troubleshooting for other locations. Managing the global contracts / order book. Running the annual rent write up process totalling $86m USD. Leading Business improvement projects to implement updated VAT rules, automatic invoicing between the stock and accounting systems.

Provision of full end to end finance against the project, ranging from running accounts payable, managing internal loan balances, P&L and balance sheet management, provision of monthly reporting pack, statutory reporting and extensive financial modelling of forward projections to support commercial contract renegotiations. Supporting and coaching the Project Team consisting of ex RAF personnel and engineers to manage budgets, plan across the next 5 years and future proof the business over the life of the contract

Ensuring financial integrity of the Shared Services function through trend analysis, commitment reporting, monthly accounts consolidation and Integrated Business Planning. Development of month end processes and reporting packs to streamline the timetable and allow easier use and reivew of information. Support, coaching of and working with non Finance staff at all levels to develop 5 year plans for the business. Leading budget for annual graduate conference.

Overhead reporting and control for various Operations functions, including phased budgeting and management of hours booking via design and implementation of a new reporting system. Monthly reconciliations and preparation of reporting packs. Commercial development of Operations leaders via educating and coaching to take ownership of their own P&L.
