A senior leader in digital media with 13+ years of experience. I've worked for startups and major corporate publishers at both national and global scales managing international teams that have spanned the UK, Australia, Brazil, India, Romania, Serbia and the USA. As Head of Sport for Reach PLC's regional network, the largest digital publisher in the UK at the time, I was responsible for more than 200 journalists working on more than 30 digital brands up and down England and Wales. As Head of Regional Sport, I was responsible for the single largest tranche of online audience within Reach PLC during this time.Highlights included:- Led the transformation of Regional Sport, bringing together 31 individual titles into a single digital vertical (the first in Reach PLC's history) to work as one network, getting teams working collaboratively to share ideas and resources, standardise best practice, and drive more original journalism.- Accelerated growth across key referrers by identifying learnings and opportunities from across each of the 31 titles, and competitors and national brands such as the Mirror, to set the overall content strategy, network policies and workflows, using the strengths and successes across the business to coach teams on how to improve.- This resulted in major investment into Regional Sport in 2021 with the creation of over 50 new roles. At the end of my time as Head of Regional Sport, more digital staff worked on regional titles on sport than ever before.- Supported the implementation of Reach PLC's Customer Value Strategy for registered users including the management of a cross-departmental project to produce 41 print products to convert newspaper readers into digital customers and the launch of a series of experimental sports apps and widgets.- Expanded podcast, social media and video output, adding specialists to all sports desks to increase inventory of original multimedia, seek new revenue streams and increase audience across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Seconded to a leadership role overseeing Reach PLC’s response to COVID-19 across the network on sport, creating a new team in the space of a week made up of full-time staff and freelancers. The mission was to experiment with new content ideas outside of the usual output of the sports desks to drive audience in the absence of actual sport to cover due to lockdown. This team quickly became one of the most profitable units in the company, providing a 4x return on costs.
