It included monitoring, configuration checks, concurrent downloads, binary verification, atomic updates (throughout the whole agent set), remote log fetching, service discovery, agent profiling, etc. It also had an extensible architecture for both service discovery and remote commands, with many already built in.Implemented several components for Go applications, including timers, process control and a library for daemons. Also wrote a package manager for Go in Perl.Wrote the first integration with Kafka, using Protocol Buffers for message encoding.Interviewed candidates for development positions.

Designed a high performance, EMV-capable, ISO-8583 authorization system for Visa Vale Brazil. (JEE running on WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ and Oracle.) Trained and led a team throughout its development, testing and performance evaluation.Analyzed the customer-provided use cases for the Visa Vale project's commercial module (a web application in C#, ASP.NET and Oracle); resolved inconsistencies and suggested improvements. Worked closely with the customer, the development team and other leaders, to effectively design and develop an integrated solution.Developed (with co-workers) a web application in C# and ASP.NET, using Oracle, to manage international remittances.

Supported deployment on several Unix variants (AIX, HP-UX, SCO, Solaris, Tru64).Developed interfaces to many protocols, including Base I (Visa), Mastercard/Europay, Base24, Tecban and POS2000, over TCP/IP and X.25.Gave permanent support to customers on the transaction authorization system (issuer). Designed and developed numerous extensions; supported deployment and took care of the production environment.

Collaborated with HP Labs in a project on elliptic curve cryptography, essentially improving a C++ application to deal with mathematical (and cryptographically appropriate) curves. Precisely measured and reported results.

Designed and developed in C an application for point-of-sale devices, supporting both magnetic stripe and chip cards (ISO-7816). It was capable of handling all usual ISO-8583 transaction types (including purchases, cash, returns, cancellations and reversals), both on and off-line. Balances and batch uploads were also implemented.Helped to design and develop an OLTP credit and debit card authorization system in C (issuer). Developed interfaces for several protocols, and conducted connection certifications.
