Started programming before high school on the Atari800XL (early 80s).In High School programmed on Apple ][ (BASIC) and AtariST (LaserC C compiler for the AtariST).During college got my first real PC. IBM PS/2 (mid/late 80s). Started programming Pascal and C (Borland). This PC had Windows286 so that's when I started programming for WindowsOS.Obtained Bachelor of Science In Computer Science from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Plenty of systems used from DOS, Windows, Unix (Sun/Solaris), VAX, and languages, Pascal, C/C++, Ada, Lisp, Prolog, IBM Assembler.Worked for IBM in North Carolina. Worked in the TCP/IP Performance group. There I worked on OS/2 and AIX systems, testing TCP/IP performace (FTP on Token Ring, FDDI, and Ethernet networks).Worked for Accugraph after college. Mainly did Windows95/NT programming (database API for Oracle, Sybase, and ODBC [mainly for SQL Server and Access]). Also did work on the API for UNIX sytems (HP-UX, SunOS, AIX) and databases (Oracle, Sybase, Ingres, Informix, DB/2). Helped maintain the build scripts for the UNIX system (one script for all 3 OSes). Tech: Visual C++ 1.5/2/4/4.1/4.2, MFC/ODBC, and ClearCase source code control.Worked for Abbott Diagnostics on the AxSYM2 system on the User Interface side. WindowsNT/Access DB. Touchscreen UI was completely custom.Tech: C++, MFC, Visual Studio 97, 6, PVCS and VSS source code control systems.Currently work for MEDHOST. Worked on the main suite for 7 years.
