Part time consultant to configure, program and commission control systems for data centre power distribution, using Allen Bradley PLC and HMI, integrating via fixed and Modbus I/O.

Project management and engineering of automated process control (APC) and instrumentation systems in hazardous areas. Assisting engineers for electrical, control and instrumentation technical issues.Key Responsibilities:- Design, install and commission new and existing PLC and SCADA systems.- Generate and update documentation including test protocols, P&ID and schematic drawings.- Train personnel on new systems, including development of training material.- Participate in HAZOP, FMEA and engineering planning meetings.Key Achievements:- Upgrade of bespoke chemical manufacturing facility, combining the existing pneumatic and Toshiba MCS controlled plants to a central control system.- Engineering lead for $3m project for introduction of new product including $1.5m custom built assembly machine. Involvement included but not limited to design review, FMEA, FAT, SAT, commissioning, validation and training.- Implementation of plant wide data logging system, replacing existing paper based recorders to single server data storage.
