LEAN connects London schools and colleges with businesses to get young people ready for the world of work. I am a business volunteer working with a school Leaders to increase business engagement, giving more young people a chance to encounter employers. This is part of a whole school careers plan. I meet with my school each month and offer knowledge and skills to link schools and colleges to their networks. My role is to devising various sessions on career advice from CVs, I/V's, team building, soft skills, subject choices and general career advise to meet the School Leaders objectives.

I provided media advice to an international broadcaster with their Online and TV media changes.

Set up and manage a team of Multiskilled Servicing Operators for public Covid Testing unit using a mobile van at various sites in and around London. Health and Safety compliance is paramount ensuring the team, public and equipment is working at an optimum safety level. Ensuring testing is undertaken in the correct manner and sent for analysis and that all reporting processes are maintained.

Mar 14-Present. Manager Staffing and Business. Responsible for change management processes ensuring that financial and staff head count planning were met when developing and enhance the operational requirements to meet an every decreasing financial position but maintain the same or increased output. This involved delivering and redesigning rota patterns for 320 staff within an business of £21m and to lead on union negotiations, oversee the scheduling operation teams, lead on conditions of service and their interruptions and support and develop new managers. Mar 09-Mar 13 Manager Production Resourcing. Responsible for looking across the multi media newsroom, strategically and operationally, looking at the formulation of departmental staffing policy. I was part of the senior management team responsible for the delivery of the Multimedia Newsroom’s strategic objectives.Mar 07 - Mar 09. I managed the Studio production teams involving around 140 staff. The operation covered the News Chanel, World News and National News and was responsible for around 50 hrs of live out put per day. I was also responsible for the deployment of around another 180 staff.Apr 00 - Mar 07. Editing Manager. I was responsible for around 100 staff for the whole of BBC TV News. During my tenure we had to develop and introduce a new technological platform and play out system. This involved changes to working practices as well as staff numbers and departmental changes alongside some major changes to the BBC.
