Pronto Software is a leading developer and vendor of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.In my challenging and rewarding role as a Project Manager with Pronto I am responsible for assisting clients achieve their goal of successfully implementing the system.My responsibilities includes appropriately resourcing projects; proactive ongoing monitoring and management of the project against agreed objectives and maintaining a constructive relationships amongst all parties.In conjunction with my project management responsibilities, I am also responsible for leading and managing a team of six senior consultants.

My primary responsibility in this role was implementing the Pronto ERP system across its 20 operating entities and 14 sites in Australia and New Zealand. The PRONTO modules implemented include GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Project Costing, Service, Distribution, Manufacturing, Inventory, CRM & Business Intelligence.Key responsibilities in implementing the Pronto system include:1. Project Management2. Security & Authorisations Management3. Training4. Business Analyst5. Testing6. Printing & Forms7. System configurationSecondary to this, I focused on advancing what was recently 20 independent small to medium businesses towards a SOE with appropriate infrastructure and services for an organisation of its size and complexity.Initially this involved leveraging off the group's size and through negotiating contracts and preferential pricing with key vendors as well as initiatives such as migrating the sites onto a group WAN; standardisation of hardware and software builds; defining and implementing disaster recovery procedures; and obtaining efficiencies in managing geographically diverse sites.

This role was challenging & enjoyable however unfortunately the organisation went into administration with the onset of the GFC. In the short time I was there I was responsible for initiating professional IT Management practices; implementing WAN Optomisation & Compression across its 5 sites; implementing VOIP; completing a telecommunications & WAN Review; Disaster Recovery Enhancements; Enhancing Firewall Security; Shared Drive Cleansing & Restructuring; Authorisations Review and Negotiating Preferred Pricing With Key Vendors.

My primary responsibility and challenges over this period involved integrating its four entities previously operating in isolation with multiple offices across Australia into Global Corporate IT environment from numerous perspectives including physically, networking, SAP imlementations and support, policies and procedures, exchange and infrastructure.

I initially joined Philips Electronics Australia IT in a consulting role and quickluy progressed into a management role taking on increasing levels of responsibility managing the IT function for Philips Electronics Australia divisions.
