We consult with the stakeholders and partners that make up the child welfare continuum by training, facilitating, advocating, and bringing awareness to the child welfare system.

Required acquiring a limited license to practice; Responsible for leading several cases for clients and participating in several facets of the litigation process, including client visits, discovery preparation, depositions, and drafting and preparing several legal documents.

Responsible for co-hiring and managing the three teams of Student Brand Ambassadors for Chase College of Law. Additionally, I worked directly with our Barbri regional Director of Legal Education to ensure all Student Brand Ambassadors were adequately supported and met our school and team goals.

Assisted the legal team with various responsibilities, such as updating spreadsheets and drafting research memos, QDROs, deeds, and wills; Projects of interest: assisted in producing legal arguments for a class action brief; created and outlined veteran legislation of interest; completed and made a financial tracing spreadsheet for ongoing legal action.

Advocated for youth in Kentucky’s foster care system; Acted as a liaison between the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Administration and foster youth; Assisted the Independent Living Coordinator with organizing and facilitating regional KOFFY events; Organized the annual Youth Empowerment Conference; chose conference theme, selected keynote speakers, selected workshops, helped facilitate workshops, picked a venue, and chose fun activities throughout the conference; Keynote Speaker for CASA of Ohio Valley “For the Child” conference; Instrumental in helping pass HB192; testified at October 2017 Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare, General Assembly for HB192, and CSFR.

Helped to oversee the administration of the office of the Commissioner for the Dept. for Community Based Services; Managed direct communication for the Commissioner’s Office; Facilitated and organized the 2017 annual Department for Community Based Services Commissioner Awards Ceremony; Managed and maintained several complex calendars; Served on the BBI Statewide Team, Children’s Justice Act Taskforce, the Stakeholder Advisory Group, and the Transition Aged Youth Workgroup which is part of the Child Welfare Transformation Initiative headed by the Governor’s Office; Previously served on the Training and Technical Support subcommittee as the appointed youth for DCBS for the State Interagency Council and the Child and Family Services Plan Stakeholder group.

Attended court proceedings, reviewed court documents, and attended related meetings; Fingerprinted potential Department for Community Based Services foster parents; Presented as a former foster youth at foster parenting classes to guide potential foster-adoptive parents; Facilitated work at various offices located in the region, including Family Support, Recruitment, and Certification.

Organized programs aimed at having a successful campaign, created a multi-level media platform, organized community activities, prepared the candidate for debates, and organized and participated in all direct voter contact activities; Resolved and documented issues about emergencies, interpersonal conflicts, and potential campaign threats; Provided a successful and winning campaign.
