Community magazine - I assist a local publishing company in producing a monthly newsletter for the Grange over Sands and Cartmel Peninsula. My duties include designing eye-catching adverts for local businesses, and where possible advising them on future effective marketing. I also produce the magazine every month, on time and to budget. Assist when possible with photography. Act as the Brand advisor, and help with generating advertisement revenue and articles.

Windermere / Penrith

I assist a small team in producing a local magazine for the Penrith area. My main tasks are designing adverts for local businesses, typesetting and uploading to the Printers. I also act as an advisor for future features, competitions, and advertising ideas.I am also re-building the website to focus more around the ‘features’ we run in the magazine. It will also generate its own income to further benefit the future of the paper.A very fun and rewarding project, that I am proud to have been a part of from the beginning.

My main responsibilities are managing the car parks attached to the south lakes property. This includes the overall maintenance as well as signage and interpretation of our 'story' which varies from site to site.I combine my marketing and communications background with my current role by engaging with the public, discussing the benefits of membership and advising on the many amazing places to visit in the lakes. I also use my graphic design skills to produce interpretation for the car parks. As well ensuring compliance to the national trust brand and tone of voice.I also prepare analysis on the car park income comparing previous years on a weekly and monthly basis, this is supported with excel spreadsheets containing detailed data for GM review.

Design & Desktop Publishing - Designing and creating marketing literature such as brochures, datasheets, newsletters, case studies, and mailshots. Also deliver internal and external marketing and communication campaigns at short notice and to very little brief, which in effect has seen me create concept, design, and associated messaging/copy. Digital Media & E-shots - Design and create eye catching html emails for an internal audience or, as part of wider external marketing campaigns.Sales & Marketing - Successfully created a reward and recognition scheme for the UK onshore service department. Brief included: logo concept and design, poster campaign, mailshots, monthly/quarterly email alerts, email introduction, ‘Elite’ badge and intranet updates. A very rewarding and personal project.Web Design / Authoring - Launched the newly re-branded website, assisting in the design concepts and site layout/framework. I was also responsible for the overall inputting of content, including monitoring and evaluating the web traffic and statistics. Intranet (my:co) - Originally designed, created and managed by myself some 12 years ago. It is now in it’s 5th version and fully content managed by a team of individuals who I successfully led and advised for a number of years. As a result of it’s UK popularity the intranet is in the process of being rolled out across our European offices, this has seen me be involved in the development of the CMS (Interact) and the training for the Administrators and authors of the respective country’s.
