Haller became a permanent member of the AVC faculty in late 1999, and has been granted tenure and as well as the academic title of “professor."​He is an elected member of the college's Academic Senate.Haller was named AVC's Scholar in Residence for 2020-21.He headed the Academic Senate Constitutional and Bylaws revision task force and the Academic Senate Constitution was approved by the faculty and will came into force in August of 2015.He was Faculty co-Chair for the Learning Outcomes Committee Faculty for six years, stepping down in July of 2021.Also in 2018, the was elected to a second three year term as Kinesiology, Athletics, Health Education and Recreation Department Chair.In 2013 he was elected Chairman of the Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Division Future Curriculum Committee which is tasked with bringing the division's curriculum into modern standards including creating new degree and certificate offerings.He authored the Transfer Model Curriculum Kinesiology degree program for the college as well as the Recreation and Leisure Studies discipline, and is assisting on two other local degree programs. In the process, he has authored four classes, and collaborated on several more.He pushed for several years to make the change from Physical Education to Kinesiology, and in 2011 was part of the committee charged with making the complete change over by the department.

After 29 years Glenn Haller retired as Marauder Sports Information Director as of June 30, 2018. He was responsible for acting as a liaison between AVC’s athletic department and the media, compiling and maintaining statistics, as well as producing brochures and updating the web site and social media for the department.In his tenure he came up with much of the identity, graphic and otherwise, for the athletics program. He created the department’s name - “Marauder Athletics,” slogan – “A Proud Community Tradition” and along with colleague Justin Webb the current logo. He also worked with AVC professor Ed Beyer to create the first Marauder Athletics website and set up and maintains the programs’ Twitter, Facebook and Instagram presences.He chronicled 50 Marauder conference champions, nine football bowl games, eight state championship basketball (six men, two women) appearances and 22 State Scholar Athletes and one State Scholar Team. For the Marauders he kept stats for over 250 football and 1000 basketball games in those 28 years, along with a sizable number of baseball and softball contests.In 2006 he was honored by the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) as their BRASS TOP Award winner. BRASS TOP stands for “Bringing Respect And Superior Service To Our Profession."In 2007 he received the Scoop Hudgins Outstanding SID Award by the All-American Football Foundation. The award is given by the Foundation to those who excel in their efforts to promote the game of football.In early 2000 he was listed 16th on the Top 20 People Who Shaped AVC Athletics list compiled by the Antelope Valley Press.
