CurrentWorked 1:1 with clients in their place of residence. I worked with not only the clients but also with either the guardian or family member(s). The clients varied from those in need of behaviour management, to those involved with the judicial system such as the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), the use and implementation of diversion tactics in order for the clients to have the ability to have their crime or sentence (blemish) removed from their profile so as to have the ability to get a job in the future and not to be defined from things in their past or present situation. To sit with the client and family members, other agencies and law professionals to ensure follow through with the agreed upon service required such as community hours a letter to the victims of the crime and volunteer hours and that the client completes this in a timely manner and by the agreed upon deadline date as given by the courts. Continued follow-up and to make sure that the client doesn't go back to or fall into the same routine and to remind them that by continuing on this path will lead them to not have the opportunities that will come so they can get an education and to gain employment for the future. Then continued meetings to see what the progress is and to get updates from family members and the clients and to make sure that both are on the same page. If interventions are needed and law professionals are required then the appropriate steps need to be made to ensure the safety of all involved.
