As an Area Operations Manager you are often called upon to work in different sections of your Company learning new skills as you progress.In the 8 years I have been with PH Jones I have been called upon to set up and run a number of Social Housing Contracts, been involved in the Affordable Warmth Government scheme to help those in fuel poverty and to work closely with other similar businesses within the group.My latest role is that of managing a Service and Repair Contract. This is a completely change of direction for me as I am used to being out and about in the field assisting those who require help to do their roles.Managing Service and Repair means I have admin staff as well as field based staff to deal with and I am primarily based in an office and not out on site all the time.This for me is a challenging role and have had a very short learning curve in which to get to know the business and client and to have to deal with the day to day issues that arise within the Office.Those of you that know me know that I am always up for a challenge and will give it my all and hopefully deliver this Contract as my superiors expect.

  I currently cover an area that incorporates Worcestershire down to the IOW and across to cover Cornwall, Devon and Wales.The role involves ensuring that Boiler/CH systems are installed in a number of properties ( up to 100 per week ) and that they Comply to Gas Safe regulations and that each install meets stringent H&S Criteria.I have a direct management report team of 4 Contract Managers helping to deliver the on site day to day issues that arise from running this type of business.
