As you read my profile you will see that I have over 20 years of experience with college students, filling a variety of roles from residential life to classroom instruction and forensics coaching. Although I have found my teaching experience to be very rewarding, I find myself drawn to my earlier days in Student Affairs, leading teams of RAs to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for resident students, and facilitating their transition to the college environment. My housing experience covers both the administrative side and the student development aspects, as I have conducted all facets of hall administration and facilities management, including check in and out procedures, room assignments and inspections, overseeing custodial and maintenance staff, on-call rotation, and crisis management, combined with multiple occasions arranging housing during summer institutes and camps.Throughout my career I have demonstrated an outstanding dedication to student growth and development, and in residential life I seek to establish an inclusive environment designed to support both learning and community responsibility. This was particularly true during my time in the Faculty in Residence program at Brown College, where I was able to blend instruction and development more seamlessly than ever before. My profile outlines my background and experience, including multiple examples of my specific achievements. It is my goal to bring my strategic and tactical administrative abilities, my commitment to student learning and development, and my unique combination of skills and experience to fostering the learning experience of the students at a forward-looking institution.
