Not too long ago, I made the decision to leave my construction training role at Te Pūkenga to join New Zealand’s leading private training education group, UP Education. My mission here is to build a new brand, capability, and capacity to deliver the construction industry with a quality alternative construction training provider, in time offering solutions from pre-trade, and small business management through to professional qualifications. In doing so, we will be focusing deeply on the needs of industry, employers, and their greatest assets, its people, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata. I am incredibly motivated by this new opportunity and being a part of the future of New Zealand's industry training sector.

The BCITO is the largest provider of construction trade apprenticeships in New Zealand, a division of Work Based Learning which is a subsidiary of Te Pūkenga. As one of the most successful educational institutions in the country, we are recognised for best practice workplace training methods . I am proud to, and have the pleasure to lead a team of around 300 professionals who facilitate training for over 20,000 apprentices with over 9000 construction employers.

Achievement of NSV Sales Budget as represented by the revenue budgets and national execution of sales and marketing initiatives of Fonterra Brands (Tip Top - Ice Cream) ltd through a field team of 8 Regional Sales Operations Managers and 45 Sales Contactors.Managed customer relationships and issues through the Regional Sales Operations Managers (RSOM’s) and Sales Contractor network.Performance Management of RSOM’s Performance Management of Sales Contractors Participation in business development projects and natural work teams related to internal and external growth opportunities

Achieved NZ Freshcuts sales budget and marketing objectives. Managed Key Account relationships in Foodstuffs supermarkets, independent retail and food service markets. Also responsible for performance management across my division and developing a high performance team.

Market leading manufacturer of frozen pastry products in NZ market. Input into setting the strategic goals and direction of Richmond Foods. Set and achievement of Richmond Foods Sales Budget and Marketing objectives. Management of Key Account relationships, in supermarkets, route trade and food service markets.

Ensuring that Key Account territory sales and development objectives are achieved through planning, direction, motivation and follow up activities of company representatives. Performance manage a team of 8 full time and up to 30 part time field representatives.

Achieved budgeted sales targets for Foodservice / Route Division. Account management of 9 distributors including James Gilmour & Co. Ltd. Organisation of suitable promotional calendar for James Gilmour & Co. and distributors. Managed end-user relationships in the Route Trade and Foodservice markets. Obtained new business through cold calling. Organisation and manning of trade shows. Supervision and development of three full-time field representatives.
