Co-founder of Centro Latam Digital (CLD), a think tank that generates knowledge, strengthens technical capacities and promotes dialogue around the effective use of information and communications technologies for economic, political, and social development in Latin America. Led the design and development of CLD’s organizational structure, team management, operations processes and policies, and short to long-term programmatic strategy to drive policy impact objectives.Oversaw financial operations and sustainability, managing 1.5 million USD in philanthropic seed funding. Managed the organization’s risk management and compliance practices, reviewed and negotiated contracts and partnership agreements, and upheld the organization's legal and fiscal obligations.Supported the Executive Director in key negotiations and external relations. Led strategic partnership and outreach strategies with leaders in the sector to expand network and audiences internationally.Led the design and facilitation of ecosystem workshops, international forums, and capacity-building events convening government, private sector, civil society, and academic sector leaders to align digital policy research and advocacy agendas and inform policy-making in the region.Co-lead the design, launch, and editorial planning of the Latin American Journal on Economics and Digital Society, an open-access, indexed journal published online in Spanish, English, and Portuguese that disseminates high-quality research on regional digital policies in the region.Designed and oversaw the implementation of multilingual (Spanish/English/Portuguese) communications strategies to highlight CLD’s work and influence privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and connectivity policies in the region.

Liaison between CIDE and the Office of the National Digital Strategy of the Presidency of Mexico to advance the design and implementation of the Prospera Digital pilot program, a digital and financial inclusion program using digital payment solutions designed to positively impact the welfare of 7 million low-income women beneficiaries of Prospera, Mexico's largest conditional cash-transfer program. Coordinated data analysis with research teams to identify target regions, beneficiaries, and necessary interventions for the pilot, in addition to the design of evaluation methodologies. Oversaw the development and strategic dissemination of evidence-based, applicable research focused on facilitating knowledge around the use and impact of information and communications technology for digital access, financial inclusion, digital labor and literacy, and broader digital policy and regulation in Latin America.

Developed strategies to communicate impact, special initiatives and major milestones for the first nonprofit Latino crowdfunding platform in the region. Oversaw the development and implementation of marketing, public relations, and capacity-building activities resulting in 380+ percent growth of users and audiences across 13 countries in Latin America in 18 months, positioning HIPGive as the leading crowdfunding tool for nonprofit organizations in the region.Led strategic partnership development and outreach efforts with key actors in public, private and civil society sectors to increase philanthropic engagement in Mexico and Latin America. Partnerships included Tigo Guatemala, Microsoft México, Nacional Monte de Piedad, HBO Latino, Summit Foundation, among others.

Provided direct support to CVPP’s Small Grants Program by serving as a liaison between organizations requesting financial support and the CVPP to align proposed project objectives with Request for Applications Terms of Reference.Developed high-quality negotiation memorandums to support five small grant recommendations to USAID (up to USD 150,000 each). Worked closely with technical and monitoring & evaluation teams to establish project development indicators and refine proposed project activities per CVPP program goals.

Supported executive leadership in developing and implementing grantmaking strategies and programs. Assisted Director of Programs in managing annual grant portfolio of $2.2M by evaluating letters of interest, applications and grant reports, conducting in-region field site visits, preparing materials for Board of Directors and monitoring program activities and timelines of more than 70 high-impact organizations in U.S. and Central America. Developed and executed the foundation’s bilingual (Spanish/English) external communications strategy across a variety of channels. Managed major communications functions including: media relations; correspondence with network of grantees, partners, and key constituencies; online presence and social media; and design and content creation for high-caliber publications.Assessed the Foundation’s actual and potential partnerships and areas of investment in Central America by conducting research and producing reports on philanthropy, foreign aid, women’s rights and public policy. Conducted a mapping study of services provided to victims of gender-based violence in four departments in Guatemala. Provide grant recommendations for a public-private partnership initiative between SIF, the Attorney General’s office of Guatemala, and various multilateral investors such as USAID and the Inter-American Development Bank.Coordinated and executed several high-level conferences and community events in Washington D.C. and Central America, such as the Central America Donors Forum to advance donor collaboration, increase philanthropic engagement in the region, and foster exchange of best practices among development experts.

Planned and executed annual Breakfast for Global Health fundraiser as part of Donor Relations and Events team, yielding 800 attendees and $663,357 in catalyst funds. Engaged in donor and prospect cultivation by serving as a liaison to attendees. Supported additional activities including Inside PATH Tours and the Board Donor Dinner by managing third-party event requests, compiling collateral on global health for public awareness, and creating exhibition materials.

Created storytelling content for USAID and AED communications outlets, providing overview of sustainable tourism grants in rural Dominican Republic and highlighting success stories of beneficiaries. Provided program support and monitoring and evaluation of grantees; reported impact to USAID and AED in accordance with small grant project descriptions, monitoring matrix, and activity timelines.

Researched and reported on actual and potential U.S. private-sector investment and public-private partnerships in West and Sub-Saharan Africa. Supported long-term program sustainability planning by conducting analyses and illustrating comparisons between various non-governmental organization funding and membership models.

Conducted research and outreach to support development of a professional training program in Tbilisi, Georgia, resulting in partnerships with U.S. and Georgian NGOs and embassies.
