This role supports the core functions of the Tax Payment Verification/Redemption Team and encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including:-Procuring, keying, and verifying tax amounts for properties in Tax Sale, Lien, and Foreclosure status on LERETA's Purple System.-Ensuring the timely and accurate disposition of all checks, maintaining stringent control over check production.-Mitigating risks by ensuring accurate and timely payment dispositions, thereby avoiding financial, reputational, and client satisfaction risks.-Providing training, feedback, and support to the team, especially in handling complex exceptions and issues.-Maintaining meticulous attention to detail and consistently meeting deadlines.-This position is crucial for risk mitigation and requires handling the most complex exceptions and issues in processing.-Prepare outgoing tax amount reports and Lender Disbursement ID batches for lenders.-Process payment files, match, reconcile payment wires, and balance payments.-Create Cashier Check Transmission files for upload to the FTP site for the bank.-Ensure cashier checks are printed and received from the bank for distribution to tax agencies.-Collaborate with Accounting on refunds, returns, and advanced LERETA funds to remove the customer from the situation.-Research and identify the responsible party for penalties and losses.-Provide guidance to the team in the absence of the Manager.-Perform quality control on delinquent payment files loaded to LERETA's Automation system.-Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, prioritizing a varied workload across multiple systems and customers.-Participate in system projects, including testing new system rollouts.
