As a woman of certain age, I value my life experiences and my career is a dichotomy between communications working in Journalism, Freelance Writing and then in social services for several non-profit agencies. I also have a certificate in Addictions Counselling and I've worked in a women's shelter for abused women, which was a real black-eye opener. Even though I worked in Journalism, I didn't get the opportunity to do as much investigative research as I would've liked. Now, as I'm retired, I want to get involved in social justice issues where I can assist in these types of research-writing projects, perhaps a documentary or book? I enjoy Screenwriting as I majored in Fine Arts and I've written about six features, a T.V. comedy drama, a play, and two comedy shorts. I'm trying to learn more about marketing myself, which is not easy as there are too many aspects of social media I despise. Nonetheless, I am willing to work as a writer for hire to help others develop their projects and concepts, as well. I've worked in several genres and I've taken many screenwriting courses in the U.S. Hopefully, I can assist a person, group or company in making some significant creative or social contribution, or even a project of mere escapist, comedic fun. There is pleasure and meaning in both, and these are definitely two things I'm definitely striving toward.
