Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! My name is Gabriel Martinez, and I am a data analyst based in Cumming, GA. As a former neuroscience researcher, I have years of experience analyzing large datasets, building statistical models, and communicating complex findings to a diverse audience. I have been working in research for multiple years, but have decided to switch gears and dedicate myself to data science. I am excited to move into the data analysis space and continue exploring the endless possibilities of data-driven decision-making.Throughout my career as a researcher, I have dealt with various types of data ranging from survey to neuroimaging data. A big part of my research required me to learn several coding languages to facilitate my ability to analyze data. This is especially true when I moved from working in a psychology lab as an undergraduate student to a neuroimaging lab as a graduate student. I went from manually running experiments with a sample of 30-50 to analyzing hundreds and thousands of data points. This led me to learn how to handle data and build my own models so I could gain better insights and be able to test more hypotheses.I am a dedicated and quick learner who understands how to work in a team environment and collaborate.
