Gabe Cazares is an advocate with a decade of experience advancing equity, accessibility, and social justice through public policy, advocacy, and community engagement. He is passionate about driving systemic change across diverse sectors, including transportation, employment, and civil rights, working to create inclusive communities where all people have equitable access to opportunities. Throughout his career, Gabe has led transformational growth in the organizations he’s served, from expanding budgets and increasing donor support to building strategic partnerships that drive impact.Previously, as Executive Director of LINK Houston, Gabe led a dedicated team advocating for an equitable transportation network for all road users in Houston. As Director of the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, Gabe championed policies to enhance accessibility and inclusion, advising city leadership on transportation, civil rights, and emergency preparedness. At the National Federation of the Blind, he spearheaded legislative efforts to track, draft, and support impactful laws and regulations for the blind and other people with disabilities.Gabe's leadership focuses on policy advocacy, research, and community engagement, amplifying the voices of communities often excluded from decision-making processes. His expertise spans government and nonprofit leadership, policy development, lobbying, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and stakeholder engagement.
