The main purpose of the post is to assist Head of Management Accounts and Divisional Accountant in providing variety of financial services and reports. Whitin the role I maintain working relationships with finance team and Divisions. Responsibilities include preparation of the monthly budget statements within the timetable making sure they comply with standards, preparation and input of the journals (Accruals, prepayments and any other adjustments, which must comply with the financial standards), reviewing the budget statements and explaining material variances. My role also includes meeting with the budget holders and supporting them in decision making by explaining finance issues to non financial personnel. I prepare meaningful supporting analysis and reports of raw data using spreadsheets and dedicated accounting software packages.Furthermore, I assist with the process of continual improvement of processes and procedures within the department, use my own initiative to plan time in an efficient manner to provide maximum contribution, volunteer to do central tasks and any other duties for my own development.
