About Godfrey Oluka

The risk of environmental changes resulting from even the most well-intentioned attempts to create good outcomes for human development is real. And so therefore is the challenge that development agencies and communities face in having to make decisions and choices that seek to strike a balance between achieving development goals and maintaining a level of integrity that environmental systems require to function optimally. Having noticed this at an early age, I chose to develop a career around helping organisations and communities to navigate these challenges, using the privilege of my expertise in identifying and designing appropriate solutions and actions and in getting people in public and private institutions and communities to dialogue and work together in implementing them.I have thus over time fully understood the value of and intricacies that are inherent in collaborative approaches and arrangements, and have used this knowledge to build successful actor networks across grassroots and national levels, and now in the international context of UNDP. I am open to opportunities to use my abilities and the esteemed experience of UNDP to collaborate with actors in contributing to the solution of global environmental challenges. Also do feel free to reach out when in need of expertise for designing and monitoring collaborative and co-management arrangements for environmental and climate action spanning on-the-ground implementation, regulatory contexts and policy-level action.

Listed skills include Climate Change, Environmental, Climate Change Adaptation, Environmental Impact Assessment, and 46 others.
