Project Officer
CurrentAn international role in a multilateral financing entity that entails undertaking analytical and operational responsibilities necessary for facilitating the design of fit for purpose climate action and investment. Key duties involve supporting technical review processes to prepare project and programme proposals for Board approval; supporting Post Approval processes aimed to set approved projects and programmes on course for implementation; and supporting corporate processes related to the core business of the Division of Mitigation and Adaptation (DMA).Responsibilities:• Analytical support to technical review and quality assurance of funding proposals and concept notes and pipeline and portfolio development, management, and review - supporting the application of the Fund’s investment criteria, policies, and guidance in the review of funding proposals and concept notes and post-approval processes.• Internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaboration – facilitating collaboration between relevant Divisions and with Accredited Entities in the context of proposal review; Funded Activity Agreement negotiation; management of the post-approval processes and portfolio; Board meetings and other meetings and events.• Project cycle management and corporate engagement - leading on the analytical and procedural stages of processing concept notes and funding proposals, including maintenance of the project database, across relevant stages of the GCF project cycle and supporting coordination with the relevant teams and Accredited Entities to make legal and all necessary arrangements to set approved projects on course for effective implementation; and supporting the engagement of DMA in corporate processes and activities of the Fund.
