Internship for the completion of my Master's Project. The project focuses on tribal water rights settlements in Central Arizona.• Creation of an internal report detailing surrounding tribal communities, their water rights settlements, and their relationships with the city. Tribes include: Gila River Indian Community, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, & Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.• Process included survey & interview development, recommendations on how to move forward, internal and external presentations, as well as determining the mutual benefits from increased collaboration between the city and tribes.Gained an understanding of how a major metropolitan water provider operates, establishes goals, and plans for future conditions. The internship was for my master's project as part of my degree.

Served on the communications team that handled the WRRC’s annual conference. I was responsible for a variety tasks including, writing invitations to tribal and government officials, assisting speakers & sponsors with registration, writing press releases, and researching themes for future conferences.Additionally, I served as a writer for WRRC helping produce newsletter and journal articles.

• Engaged in student development of better study habitats and understanding of course material through real-world application tutoring sessions. Courses tutored include, American Government, French, English/Composition, History, & Political Science. Enhanced my ability to teach and to effectively communicate complex topics into simpler understandable language. Recurring sessions saw an increase in student engagement and student test scores. More importantly, the students were able to relate to the information and were able to retain and recall it.

For two summers, I served as a child care provider to a family with two young sons. I was responsible for their safety and daily activities. May 2012 to August 2013. For one summer, I worked in construction with a local consulting firm in Sand Springs, OK. We primarily completed projects in carpentry and cabinetry, but also completed a full addition to a house from the ground up.
