During my summer and winter breaks from college, I worked full time as a mechanical engineering intern in the Hematology Department at IDEXX. I began each summer by acquiring a project and then presenting my plan at an open event to a wide range of company employees ranging from custodians to the CEO. At the end of the summer, I had a similar presentation showcasing my work and then a personal presentation to company executives. In 2016, with use of SolidWorks and 3D printing technology, I designed a three axis gyroscopic flow cell mount to improve the assembly method for the laser device inside a hematology machine and to be implemented for its successor, the Acadia.In 2015, I worked with a team of engineers and scientists on a Root Cause Analysis to locate the source of a leaking syringe mechanism in a hematology machine.In 2014, I researched, tested, designed for, and eventually implemented a new set of cooling fans for one of the company's most popular hematology machines.
