• Developed the China growth strategy for Managing Director, North Asia to maximise the value of a key joint venture in China with one of the world’s largest insurance company.

• In my role as an “entrepreneur-in-residence”, I launched ShareCover (www.sharecover.com) - a world-first, fintech/insuretech digital solution for the sharing economy.
• Led an “agile” team of UX designers and full-stack developers to build the website and related web-apps using a low-cost Linux/MEAN tech-stack and SaaS model – e.g. AWS for cloud storage, Mandrill for email server.
• End-to-end responsibility for the entire digital experience - from initial concept design through to prototyping, website content, pricing engine, customer servicing and successful launch.
• Led partnership discussions and negotiations with major platforms, e.g. Airbnb, Stayz, Uber, Airtasker. Pitched to the Airbnb cofounders (CTO and CMO) and senior management in San Francisco on an integrated.

• Successful post-merger integration of legacy wealth and life insurance businesseses of AMP and AXA (NMLA).
• Identified synergies and implemented initiatives to increase value of book via system improvements, product rationalisation and better customer lifecycle management.
• Improved cash flows and increased operating earnings by $14M (FY12) and $9M (FY13).

• Worked on an industry secondment to define the next wave of strategic initiatives for a large general insurer in Australia.
• Led a multi-functional team to develop the confectionary strategy for a large consumer goods company in Melbourne.
• Worked as a Policy Advisor to Dept. of Human Services and its associated agencies – Medicare, Centrelink, DVA – to introduce a single, chip-enabled “ID” card to access all their services.

I spent a summer at IFC (part of the World Bank Group) in their advisory services division. I was retained as a consultant post the summer internship and continued to work with IFC/World Bank through the latter part of my graduate studies at Harvard. - I worked on a project to establish a public-private partnership (PPP) to deliver water supply in.

• Managed a cross-functional team to launch a $5 million digital portal to offer mobile data services for a state-linked telecommunications company in Indonesia (Telkomsel).
• Responsible for the “implementation workstream” which included new website build, content aggregation and delivering services via WAP and SMS protocols (e.g. news, sports, horoscopes etc.)
• Resolved various tech implementation challenges between international vendors – e.g. hardware (Alcatel and Ericsson), content (Lycos Asia); and local Indonesian front-end development team.

• A leading San-Francisco based e-business consulting company (now part of Microsoft).
• Defined the digital strategy for a traditional, full-service energy utility in Denver, CO (Xcel Energy).
• Transitioned existing customer-facing services online and developed a roadmap to launch future services in partnership with telcos (pre-cursor to connected homes and Internet of Things “IoT” – about 10- to 12-years too.

• Explored M&A opportunities in Asia for an Australian telecommunications operator.
• Identified partners and evaluated synergies that resulted in a $1.5 billion pan-Asian alliance.
