He is a project manager and event organiser with broad experience, having worked with independent artists and not for profit organisations, various local and state government agencies, small businesses and corporations.Notable productions include Project 3 (Adelaide Festival of Arts 2006) shortlisted for a 2006 Ruby Award, and Kumfy Club at The Shores (1500 person ticketed music festival).

As the Industry Development Officer for Music SA Gordon works to build the contemporary music sector’s profile and networks, advising musicians on securing resources, marketing and distribution strategies, promotion, business management and touring.Notable projects produced include Coopers Alive (2008-2010), winner of two consecutive State ABaF Awards (SME category), and Bands On Track (2012-2014), shortlisted for a 2012 Ruby Award.Gordon managed the independent Australian rock band Mere Theory from 2005 to the band’s final show, held at the Adelaide UniBar in December 2012. The band released two EPs and two nationally acclaimed full-length albums, ‘Walking In Storms’ (2011) and ‘Catalan Atlas’ (2007).

Part time position, reporting to a volunteer Committee of Business Owners and Residents in the South West of Adelaide. Responsible for securing and executing grant funding. Worked closely with Adelaide City Council and local stakeholders on delivering a range of community initiatives and projects. Produced the annual Whitmore Square Arts Fair (2007-2011).

Employed to a newly created position of Special Projects Manager, Gordon was responsible for returning the SA Youth Parliament Program to the YMCA of South Australia. Working with the Office for Youth, he developed and managed the project between 2003 and 2006. Gordon also coordinated National Youth Week activities for South Australia in 2004 and 2005, again working with the Office For Youth.

Employed to a newly created position of Manager, Entrepreneurial Projects, Gordon was the Producer of the successful Breakout events (1998-2001) and The Ayers Rock Corporate Cricket Test (1999-2000). These and other projects managed by Gordon during this time produced $1M gross revenue for the Association.

Production Manager for bespoke Graphic Design Company Scott Bence Design. Developed client briefs, prepared competitive production costings, managed internal workflows for the design team, sourced and managed relationships with suppliers. Brief progressed to include client management, creative development and copywriting.
