I currently lead Florida Blue's Public Affairs and Community Engagement area, which includes Government Relations (state and federal legislative relations), Corporate Social Responsibility, the Florida Blue Foundation and the Florida Blue Center for Health Policy. Immediately prior to my current role, I led the Government Relations area. Additional experience at Florida Blue includes leading the Board Administration area, shepherding Health Care Reform efforts associated with the Affordable Care Act, managing several provider/customer service teams in the Service Organization, serving as lead attorney on corporate governance matters, and working as an attorney in the Legal Affairs Department. I became a Certified Healthcare Insurance Executive (CHIE) in 2012 after completing the Executive Leadership Program sponsored by America's Health Insurance Plans. I also graduated from the inaugural GuideWell Leadership Academy in 2016.

My areas of practice included corporate governance (including managing the Corporate Secretary's department), securities and regulatory compliance, corporate transactions and finance, and technology.

My practice focused on corporate law at this Virginia-based law firm.

I served as a law clerk to Louis Oberdorfer, a United States District Court judge.

I was as an attorney in the Army General Counsel's office at the Pentagon while serving on active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
