Currently at my role I monitor ticket queues we get anywhere from 5-20 a day and they can come in any day of the week. Monitoring tickets requires experience with troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and analysis. The primary focus would be on ensuring that end-users receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner. I have also been putting together 1-5 sequence diagrams a week for our work floor processes so that takes a lot of knowledge to do as well. To create sequence diagrams, you need strong technical skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, creativity, effective communication skills, collaboration skills, and knowledge of UML and modeling tools. They play a crucial role in designing and modeling complex software systems and ensuring that the final product meets the requirements and specifications of the project.

Monitored tickets with Jira and other tools got a lot of great hands-on work and learned about the processes. Monitoring tickets requires analytical skills, attention to detail, technical knowledge, communication skills, time management skills, and a customer service orientation. These qualities enabled me to manage and resolve tickets effectively and provide a high level of support to end-users. I used Confluence to manage projects, track progress, and assign tasks to team members. Some specific qualities of team member who uses Confluence include being highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technology. They are able to communicate effectively with their team members and are able to document their work and share it with others in a clear and concise manner. This internship provided a valuable learning experience for me, I gained exposure to industry-standard software development tools and processes, as well as real-world problem-solving skills. Additionally, I had the opportunity to network with professionals in the industry and potentially secure future job opportunities. I used Confluence to create pages, blog posts, and other types of content to document the teams work, share knowledge, and collaborate with others.
