A financial trader with a Masters’ in Finance and a successful track record leading teams and delivering trading excellence. My career journey has involved building successful automated trading teams and ensuring that trading is within compliance rules & regulations including Market Abuse Regulation. Career highlights include trading & leadership roles in Dublin, Gibraltar & Chicago. One of the biggest challenges & most exciting aspects of my work is reacting to major world news events & making fast decisions in a highly pressurised environment. I have traded actively and navigated successfully through several major events including the financial crisis, the Lehman Bank bankruptcy, Greek Debt crisis, Brexit as well as natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina. In February 2019, I was approved by the Irish Central Bank as a Head of Trading (PCF-29) for my trading team in Dublin. This gave me responsibility for ensuring that team trading activity was compliant with applicable rules & market regulations. Managing risk through market volatility & challenging environments is a daily occurrence that requires focus, courage & the ability to quickly adapt to changing market environments. My success has been a result of hard work, staying disciplined, working effectively with other departments and collaborating as team player, while at the same time, maintaining a commercial focus, building both confidence and expertise in others.
