The “senior” member of Maynard Kischer Stojicevic, Gordon Maynard has been called to the B.C. Bar since 1988. Gordon’s experience and expertise has been recognized nationally through peer-review assessments and surveys conducted by Best Lawyers, Canadian Lawyer and Lexpert. The 2012 “Lawyer of the Year” designation was shared with three Immigration Law practitioners in Canada. The 2012 Canadian Lawyer “Top Immigration Law Boutique Firm” recognized the partnership of Gordon Maynard, Rudi Kischer and Alex Stojicevic.Mr. Maynard focuses upon matters of temporary entry and permanent status, including entry of workers under NAFTA, GATS, and ESDC LMIA processes, achieving resolution of issues of admissibility and transition of temporary workers and students to permanent resident status through federal and provincial programs.Mr. Maynard’s clients include major international businesses engaged in transfer of personnel and private individuals seeking assistance and guidance in navigating the immigration law corridors. Gordon is a regular presenter of lectures on Immigration law at the annual National CBA Immigration Law CLE before counsel, members of the judiciary, and Department and Agency personnel.On behalf of CBA Mr. Maynard has appeared regularly before Parliamentary Committees with respect to Immigration and Citizenship Law legislation reform, has participated in consultations at the Minister and Citizenship and Immigration National levels, and has served on liaison committees with the Immigration and Refugee Board at the Provincial and National levels. He has served in executive positions with both the National and Provincial CBA Immigration Sections.Mr. Maynard is recognized for distinguished, exceptional service to the CBA, through the Louis St. Laurent Award, with co-recipient Michael Greene.
