• The Banking and Financial Services Law Committee aims to:
• ensure that practitioners are advised of banking and financial services law issues through Proctor articles, notices to the profession and CLE programs;
• diligently respond to submission requests and consultation requests from government on proposed reforms and proactively making submissions for reform of the law, where necessary; and
• liaising with other committees and through the Queensland Law Society, the Law Council of Australia in relation to matters of banking and financial services law.I joined the Committee with the view that membership.

I joined Mullins Lawyers on 29 March 2016 to manage their Banking and Finance Department. My new role is focussed on private and commercial lending in all fields, including loans to self managed superannuation Funds.

On 1 April I joined Gadens Lawyers, Brisbane and finished working for them on 14 March 2016 after receiving a better offer. My contract with Gadens has a restraint clause preventing me working for any client of Gadens for 12 months if I was not solely responsible for their introduction to Gadens or they are not a current client of my current employer.

I left APRA and joined MacGillivrays as my job was being centralised to Sydney. At the time I was working 3 days a week for Sydney and was facing a move to Sydney, which was unattractive with a young family. On 1 July 2012 I was promoted to my current title from Manager Legal and Compliance - Banking ServicesMy current role includes:- commercial banking.

Most of my work as Senior Analyst involved supervision of securitisation programmes, capital raisings and transfers of business for the Authorised Deposit-Taking Institutions supervised by APRA's Northern Regional Office and the supervision of Friendly Societies for that office.

I joined Westpac in 1985 and spent my last 7 years there in their Corporate Legal Department (under its various names) in Brisbane, rising to the position above about 1995.
