I am a partner in the business services team and have broad commercial experience acquired following my admission as a solicitor in 1995.I provide advice on the maximisation (commercialisation including licensing and distribution), protection and infringement of intellectual property (IP) rights, including disputes in relation to those matters. My clients range from multi-nationals, listed public companies, banks and financial institutions, entrepreneurs, small to medium enterprises, to start-ups and private individuals.I also advise on commercial and business matters (including structuring advice, particularly in relation to intellectual property (IP) protection). I act in disputes and competition and consumer (trade practices) matters. I act in company, partnership and shareholder matters, advising as to directors' duties and compliance, as well as licensing, franchising and distribution matters.I am regularly published in academic and industry journals specific to my areas of expertise. I also regularly present at industry seminars and have recently conducted an IP Master Class series at various venues around the State at the request of Trade and Investment Queensland.I am a member of IPSANZ (Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand).
