I was responsible for all leisure systems and administration in the fitness clubs across the UK (72 clubs). This senior management position included memberships applications, finance, payroll hours and reports for retail and fitness (140+ branches) and the auditing of the fitness clubs externally to ensure compliance with Company policies. I oversaw a monthly Direct Debit collection in excess of £6 million pounds, and the central recovery of debt owed in excess of £100k per month. This included in the management of a team of central collectors and the implementation of sms, email and dialler campaigns and strategies.During my time in this role I set up and implemented many systems including the Company's IVR line for automated membership payments, virtual PDQ's for telephone payments and worked closely on new membership software to allow for the reduction of paper applications.I also oversaw and coordinated the transition from Administration managers to Front Of House Managers across the group, carrying out briefings and consultations across the UK and creating new job descriptions and training packs.I managed all data in the leisure division ensuring its integrity for use in marketing campaigns and also oversaw the customer service department at Head Office, which provided support for customers across the retail and fitness divisions, acting as an escalation point for serious complaints.I was line manager to a central team at Head Office and oversaw over 70 Front Of House managers across the UK and a team of field financial auditors, whilst liaising and working with Area Managers.I worked to forecast and set targets in sales and retention for a 3 year period across all sites and reported directly to the Head Of Leisure, Directors and Owners.I left this position after over 10 years with the Company in order to spend more time at home and to return to University to pursue my life ambition of becoming a teacher.
