About Gordon Araujo

I currently manage the MGP program for UGI, which has former manufactured gas plant sites moving through the PA Act 2 program.For the past 6 years, I served as the Mid-Atlantic District Technical Manager covering Eastern PA, NJ, MD, DE and DC. In this capacity, I developed new client relationships, offered engineering design support, provided product proposals, and followed up on leads and opportunities.I have also worked on federal sites with soil and groundwater contamination and vapor intrusion concerns from chlorinated solvent and petroleum spills for the EPA, Navy and Army Reserve. As a part of my work experience, I operated pump and treat and soil vapor extraction systems, injected potassium permanganate, conducted bioremediation pilot studies, and monitored residential POE treatment systems.In May 2012, I completed my MS in Environmental Engineering from Bucknell University, where I also received my BS in Chemical Engineering (2004).In my free time, I volunteer as a Boy Scout leader of a rock climbing focused Venturing Crew. Otherwise, I am an avid rock climber, scuba diver, skier, hiker, yogi, and computer geek. On nice weekends, I look forward to cruising with the top down in my '66 mustang.
