About Gordon Bray Am

One of Australia's most experienced and respected sports commentators with over 55 years in the broadcast media industry. He has called nearly 400 Rugby Internationals including 80 Wallabies/All Blacks Test Matches and covered his 9th Rugby World Cup in 2019 for Network TEN. Additionally, he has commentated 12 Summer and Winter Olympics and 6 Commonwealth Games, completed 6 Rolex Sydney/Hobarts on the official radio relay vessel and overall, has called more than 25 sports at international level.He began his broadcasting career in 1969 as a Specialist Trainee with ABC Sport in Sydney. He spent 25 years commentating for the national broadcaster, before a short stint at Ten and then 16 years at Seven. In 2013 he signed on with Ten again as chief rugby caller.He has co-produced and hosted several TV documentaries including Sydney to Hobart specials, Westfield Disabled Games and the acclaimed golf special Swinging Thru Ireland which took viewers on a guided tour of Ireland's most famous golf courses. He has also written and edited seven books on rugby, including best sellers 'The Australian Rugby Companion' and 'From the Ruck' and a coffee table publication 'Talking Buildcorp' celebrating Buildcorp's 25 year milestone. His latest book The Immortals of Australian Rugby Union features his 15 greatest Wallabies and has just gone to a second print run.Gordon is active on the speaking circuit as both keynote speaker and facilitator/master of ceremonies and has ambassadorial roles with Enrizen Finance group and Legacy.Specialties: Commentary/broadcasting, corporate MC and facilitator, guest speaker, writing and business networking
