As Chair and shareholder of NDL Software Ltd I've had a significant role in growing the company into a specialist supplier of software tools and toolkits for integration, automation and mobilization. NDL is a UK based company of 40+ people, loyal customers and a proven financial track record. I am now investigating opportunities to grow the business beyond our strengths in Local Authorities, Housing and Healthcare. I’m talking to Chief Executives, Directors and IT Executives about the business issues that impact, or are impacted by, IT strategy and systems. Central to this is the data asset – how it is captured, managed and accessed to inform decision making, improve customer interactions and reduce business costs. Conversations frequently explore:• Structural changes on the delivery side, such as supply chain integration, and data transfer to enable this.• Market and customer changes, such as multi-channel and multi-media customer communications, and real-time data integration. • The increasingly mobile workforce, and mobile devices and apps, and the data enablers and challenges around them.• Strategic IT tools to improve data integration, automation and mobilisation and the cost :benefits associated with them. I’m developing a network of contacts across many UK vertical markets to understand what their current challenges are, and identify where there are clusters of opportunity, potential partnerships, as well as individual businesses, where NDL can add value. I am a qualified Barrister and Chartered Accountant, previously specialised in tax then in corporate turnarounds. I have also been an adviser and non-exec. director to a variety of different businesses.
